How it works

How BookWithAI works

BookWithAI is an AI flight assistant: you describe a trip in plain language, it finds and ranks real flight options, then lets you save a fare to track and see how its price moves. It never takes payment — you finish the purchase with the airline or another seller.

Most flight search shows you one snapshot, taken the moment you happened to look. BookWithAI lets you save a fare and see how its price has moved when you come back to it.

  1. You describe the trip

Say it the way you'd say it out loud — origin, rough dates, a budget, a constraint. One sentence usually covers what a search form spreads across six dropdowns and a date grid.

Refine by replying rather than starting over. The conversation keeps its context, so "actually, make it nonstop" keeps what you have already said instead of starting over.

  2. It searches, and shows its reasoning

Results arrive ranked, and every option carries why it sits where it does — instead of a bare price sort you have to interpret yourself.

The card shows whether a checked bag is included, and refund rules when the data source has them; otherwise it says 'check with airline'. The current flight data source does not provide fare brand.

  3. You save a fare to track

Once you save a fare, BookWithAI refreshes saved prices periodically when you visit your Deals page, and you can refresh one anytime, so you can see how it has moved since you saved it.

A price is only meaningful next to its own history — today's fare might be a good one, or it might just be the number you've grown used to seeing. The AI adds a short summary of that history.

  4. You decide when to book

The price history and summary are there to help you decide; nothing is bought for you.

Background re-checks and notifications are not live yet, so open your saved fares when you are planning to book.

  5. You book with the seller you pick

BookWithAI hands you off to Google Flights, where you choose a seller.

You buy from the airline or agency you pick there, directly. The handoff dialog tells you where you are going and that you pay that seller, not BookWithAI.

What it does

What the assistant does for you

Four things happen when you plan with BookWithAI.

  1. Tracks

Save a fare; its price is refreshed periodically when you visit your Deals.

  2. Summarises

A short AI note on how the saved fare's price has moved.

  3. Shows

Ranked options with the reasoning on each card.

  4. Book

Hands you off to Google Flights to pick a seller and pay them directly.

What it doesn't do

Worth stating plainly, because a marketing page is exactly where these usually get left out.

  • NO PAYMENT TAKEN

    It doesn't take your payment

BookWithAI never charges you for a flight. The purchase happens with the airline or travel provider, on their checkout.

  • NO AUTO-BOOKING

It doesn't book on your behalf

There is no autonomous purchasing. The final booking is always a decision you make and an action you take.

  • NO BACKGROUND ALERTS

No background re-checks or notifications yet

Saved prices refresh when you visit your Deals page or ask for it. BookWithAI does not watch fares while you are away or send email, SMS or push alerts.

  • US-STRONGEST

    Coverage is uneven by design

It is strongest on US domestic routes, where the underlying public performance data is richest. International routes can be searched, but on-time data is limited outside the US.

The short version

You describe the trip once and save a fare you like. Check back later and you can see how the price has moved.

FAQ

Fair questions

  • It searches real flights and ranks them with the reasoning on each card. If you save a fare, its price is refreshed periodically when you visit your Deals page (or on demand), so you can see how it has moved rather than a single snapshot.

  • Yes. Try it free as a guest; after a few messages it asks you to sign in (also free), and guests have a daily limit. You need an account to save a trip or track a price.

  • Not to start. Try it free as a guest; after a few messages it asks you to sign in (also free), and guests have a daily limit. An account is also needed to save a trip or track a price, because both have to be stored against someone.

  • No. BookWithAI finds and ranks flights; the Book button opens a confirmation, then Google Flights, where you pick a seller (an airline or an agency) and pay them directly. BookWithAI never takes payment.

  • BookWithAI never asks for card details, and before you leave it shows a notice that the next page is not a BookWithAI page and who you pay. It stores your chats, account details, trip details (including confirmation and ticket numbers you enter), documents you upload and your location if you allow it, and sends your messages to its AI provider, OpenAI; and no security certification is claimed (full list: https://bookwithai.org/privacy/).

  • No. BookWithAI at bookwithai.org is an AI flight booking assistant; bookwithai.app is a different, unrelated salon-booking product that shares the name.

  • Those show you what a route costs at the moment you search. BookWithAI ranks options with the reasoning on each card, and lets you save a fare and check back on how its price has moved.

  • How you tend to fly — the airlines you keep choosing, morning or evening departures, how you rank flights by price or speed. These are inferred from repeated choices, you can also set preferences yourself, and you can clear anything it learned.

  • Not yet. Saved fares are refreshed periodically when you visit your Deals page, and you can refresh one anytime, with an AI summary of how it has moved. BookWithAI does not re-check fares on a schedule while you are away or send notifications today.

  • Coverage is strongest on US domestic routes, where the underlying public performance data is richest. International routes are supported too.

  • It depends on the route. US domestic routes have the richest underlying public performance data, so the on-time comparisons there rest on the most evidence. International routes can be searched, but on-time data is limited outside the US.
